A "Six Pack” Fun Run…Small Group with lots of Flexibility…
A long jaunt through the country backroads south of Molalla, then on to a rest stop at Silver Falls State Park, some spectacular views, and further on to an exciting 2 minute, 200 foot ride across the not-so-mighty-at-this-point Willamette on the Buena Vista Ferry (Yes, it really does exist, but it’s not real easy to find.) Then to lunch at Gilgamesh Brewery in Independence. (They have indoor, i.e.: air conditioned, and outdoor, seating available,) After lunch I will lead a group on back roads to I-5 then up 99E to Canby for those who are interested. We did this run last year and really enjoyed it, so I am reprising it this year. The Buena Vista Ferry is small, can only handle 6-8 Miatas. Toll is $3.00, cash only.
Remember to bring those masks just in case, and observe 6 ft.
This will be about 110 miles, ending south of Salem, so figure about 2 to 2.5 hours in the saddle outbound with a potty break in the middle.
Pack a lunch and bring your folding chairs if you want to avoid restaurants entirely.
