Come join us for "A TRIBUTE TO TWEETY"  and a tour of Mt Hood with Bill and Nancy of the “Lake to Lake Miata Club from Ocala, Florida. They are touring the US in TWEETY, visiting the major Miata clubs throughout the country with a stop in Oregon.

They are on a 9,000-plus miles perimeter driving tour of the U.S. in TWEETY, a 1999 Miata, rescued on the way to the junkyard and restored as a tribute to that righteous small Canary known to one and all as TWEETY. They will be in Hood River on August 4 and would like to meet the members of Mt Hood Miata Club. This run is to introduce them to the wonders of the Northwest and the hospitality of MHMC.

We will meet at the Lewis & Clark State Recreation Site east of Troutdale at 9:30 and leave at 10:00 am. The plan is to head around the base of Mt Hood through the Devils’ Backbone (one of our favorite Miata runs created by late member Jeff Reis), head on up the Mt Hood Highway to Timberline Lodge and a photo op. From there it is on around Mt Hood to Hood River for a late luncheon around 1:30 pm at the Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant (2827 Cascade Ave, Hood River) where Bill & Nancy will be providing a video recap of their tour.

From Hood River you are on your own to explore Hood River and take your favorite route home.
