Zoomers’ Pumpkin Patch Passage

Let’s have some fun. It’s Halloween season and we’ve been good – why not celebrate it all by going to the pumpkin patch on a glorious (or whatever kind it turns out to be) Thursday? This run will follow a route first laid out by Jess Heitman and Addie Cerna – it starts out at Peterkort Square on SW Portland’s Barnes Road, heads over Skyline and Macnamee (and under the troll's bridge), to HWY 30 and Sauvie Island, home of The Pumpkin Patch. We’ll find it all here – pumpkins and gourds, vegetables, corn maze, animal barn, rides. . .
We’ll be driving something like 40 miles, and it’s a sure thing that there’ll be smiles involved. In the immediate post-pumpkin patch period we’ll head up Cornelius Pass Road to McMenamin’s Rock Creek Tavern for lunch –
