Sunday Last Minute Run to Vernonia
Meet at North Plains Veteran's Park at 11:00 am, leave at 11:30
This is for those members tied up on Saturday's Scratch & Ding and unable to make the Coffee Run.
Sunday is predicted to be an OK day but may have some showers. About as good as it gets in April in Oregon. But what the hey, let's get out and take a short run through the Coast Range to Vernonia for lunch. Meet at our favorite Veteran's Memorial Park in North Plains at 11:00 am, discuss the weather, world politics and what improvements we have made to our little cars for a half hour and then leave at 11:30. Then it is off down 26 towards the Coast, and on then onto 47 through some scenic backroads to Vernonia ... about a half hour run. Then it is time for a stop at one of Vernonia's fine restaurants for lunch and continue our discussions about whatever.
Sounds like a fun way to me to enjoy an early April Sunday afternoon.
