About this event
Detroit Reservoir serves a number of very important functions, the most significant of which – in our thoughts – stems from being at the end of a very interesting drive that we try to do every year. This particular exercise will see us joining forces at Clackamette Park in Oregon City and then heading south over a series of diverse and very interesting roads to our ultimate destination of Detroit Lake. It’s not a quick drive – 100 miles, more or less, and it’ll take us something over 2 hours of driving. But an interesting route and there’s something for everyone along the way. Once there, we can acquire lunch at a very small selection of food carts and, if we choose, eat at a nearby, very nice municipal park. All in all, it’ll be a very good day.
