Klickitat Canyon Classic Run - SECOND UPDATE 7/8/21(No food service)

This run/event has been postponed from 6/26 to 7/10 due to extreme heat conditions forecast for the original date.
Meet Saturday morning at 9:30am at the Camas Safeway on Saturday, July 10 for a run up the Washington side of the gorge to Lyle. 

We will zoom up the Klickitat Canyon on State 142.  This run is a favorite of our members especially where the road runs out of stripe.  At the top of the canyon we will turn toward Glenwood for a lunch stop at Glenwood Station.  The Station is open for food service or take-out and they have out-door seating as well.  Pricing is reasonable and portions generous.  If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your own picnic.  7/8 UPDATE - Glenwood station will not have any food service (snacks and beverages only) also the number of picnic tables outside is limited so make sure you have your folding chairs with you.  You will be able to shop the Camas Safeway prior to the start of the run.

After lunch we then head back to the gorge by way of BZ Corner and and State 141.  Once back to WA Hwy. 14 we will end the run with a photo op at the viewpoint after a short run up Cook-Underwood Road for a great view of the gorge.

Total time for the run (including an hour for lunch) is approximately 5 hours.

Note that Covid rules still apply when out of your Miata.
