NON-CLUB Miata Reunion 2022
We're off and running!
A lot has happened since Miata Reunion registration opened earlier this month, and with just over four months to go, we wanted to keep everyone in the loop.
Track Days are filling quickly, with the Saturday E group already sold out and other groups filling up.
Garnering the top prizes so far for people traveling a long way to drive to Alabama are Corey, who is shipping his NC all the way from Hawaii; and Ken of KenAuto Japan (one of our Vendors) who will be flying from Japan to drive one of AOA's MX-5 Cup NC rental track cars.
We expect Track Day registrations to start filling up even faster as Mazda Motorsports just shared this announcement about the Reunion with all the registered Miata racers and track day drivers in the country. For more information about the Reunion Track Days and to register click here.
Just a reminder -- thanks to our friends at FM, the Saturday Flyin' Miata G-Force Challenge is FREE, requires no advance signup or prior experience, and the only thing you'll need is a helmet (which you can rent right there at the track.) First come, first served!
The Car Control Clinic is already half full, so if you haven't registered yet, please see the Jzilla Car Control Clinic page at the Miata Reunion website.
Miata Clubs participation continues to grow by leaps and bounds!
The following clubs have confirmed their attendance to secure their spots in the Clubs Corral: Central Alabama Miata Society (CAMS), Lone Star Miata Club, and Sun Riders Miata Club of Tampa Bay. We want to express our special appreciation to CAMS and Sun Riders, who have kindly offered to support the event with volunteers from their clubs.
It's not only the Track Day drivers coming from long distances.
We've heard from our good friends at KINOD that a group will once again be caravanning out from Southern California. And in true Canadian style, Wild Rose Miata Club (Edmonton) and Canadian Rockies Miata Club (Calgary) are driving down together as a group, jointly led once again by Richard and Gordan. They've been to nearly every event, and will be making a 9,400km+ trek to join us this year. One year our crazy Canadian friends even battled severe snowstorms driving their Miatas home!
The Moss Miata Sunday Cruise filled up completely in less than two hours! The great news is that we're working with Moss to open another 50 spots for a concurrent Cruise, on a different unique route. We'll announce when signups will be open for the second group, with people already on the waiting list getting the first priority.
The Saturday Banquet is already half full, including several Clubs who have jumped on the option for whole (discounted) tables for their club groups.
For this update, we're ending with an exciting new addition!
Past attendees know that we've always had a fun get-together on the Friday afternoon/evening before the event. For this year's event, we're delighted to report that the owner of Oh Sherri Irish Pub just recently reached out to partner with us for a sensational afternoon/evening of socializing and music complete with a live band.
Stay tuned for more details!
