Coastal Run to Miata Reunion 2023 at Sonoma Raceway
Run Leaders: Alex and John Countouriotis
Where: Sonoma Raceway, Sonoma, CA
When: The group run starts in Kelso, WA on Thursday, October 19 and ends when we arrive Friday evening at our pre-arranged dinner spot in Petaluma, CA (just a short drive from Sonoma Raceway). The actual Miata Reunion event itself runs the entire weekend of October 21-22.
Why?: North America's largest annual Miata event, the Miata Reunion, is returning to the West Coast for 2023! This year, it will be held at Sonoma Raceway (a.k.a. Sears Point).

Alex Countouriotis and his son, John, invite the rest of the Mount Hood Miata Club to join them on their coastal drive to California for this year's Miata Reunion at Sonoma Raceway. As they have done for several of the past Miata Reunions formerly held at Laguna Seca, they will once again lead a pack of Miatas down the Pacific Coast Highway from Astoria all the way to Bodega Bay where they will take a left turn and start to head inland towards Sonoma.

Twisties on the Oregon coast
Our group will leave Kelso early Thursday morning and head due East to Astoria, along Highway 30. Then they will hug the coastline as much as possible for the remainder of the trip. Members can meet Alex and John in Kelso or anywhere along the coastal route.

Road construction delays are inevitable, but also provide great photo ops
We will spend Thursday night in Gold Beach, OR (a group discount has already been negotiated for our members).

Friday's drive has us continuing down 101 until we get to Leggett, CA where we turn onto spectacular Highway 1 for the remainder of our drive down the coast.

Highway 1!
