This is as close as we could get to the Official Fool's date and hoping not to repeat last year's number 3 which was postponed several times due to winter weather ... and you don't have to call it a "Bunny Hop". This year we will have a low route option in case of snow on higher ground ... but El Nino is supposed to deliver an early Spring.
As usual, we will meet at 8:30am for a 9:00 departure at the Safeway Fuel Station at 411 Three Rivers Drive, Kelso, WA 98626 (Three Rivers Mall, directly off I5 at Allen St.). We will run up the Ocean Beach Highway - WA 4 to Cathlamet where we will catch the last remaining ferry on the lower Columbia and cross to Westport on the Oregon side. (The fare is $6.00 CASH ONLY). Left on US30 to Clatskanie and then wind through Mist and Jewell to end up at Cannon Beach. The run should be around 3 hours, depending on the loading of the Oscar B; arriving at the Pelican Brew Pub in Cannon Beach in time for their Sunday Brunch.
